Management
The study involves three disciplines: fishing gear technology, fishing vessel engineering
and economics, and the work is consequently structured in three Task Groups: Gear,
Vessels and Economics. The study will be coordinated by Partner 1 (IMARES), having
both experience in the field of fishing gear technology and fishing vessel engineering.
Coordination and communication
The project starts with a coordination meeting in IJmuiden, The Netherlands at IMARES,
where working plans will be detailed and data formats defined.
The three groups will then work by correspondence. The results are brought together
in a second coordination meeting to work with the data and write the Draft Final
Report. Pending requests from the Commission the experts will be addressed to improve
the document into a Revised Final Report.
Three meetings will be held in Brussels upon request (kick-off and presentation/discussion,
in two stages, of the draft final report).
The costs of these meetings will be kept minimal by limiting the group of experts
to be involved to the Coordinator and possibly the three Task Group Leaders. Other
experts can be involved by invitation, and/or email or telephone connections.
