Off shore research activity (Mediterranean Sea). 
The ship was launched in May 2001 and was specifically designed for conducting research on marine biology, oceanography and fishing gear technology.  It is equipped with the most modern navigation, fishing and research devices. It has a wet and 2 dry labs and a refrigerator at - 20 and a one at +4. This vessel is utilised for trawl survey, echosurvey, fishing technology and physical chemical oceanography.

Coastal research activity.
