She held a degree in Biological Sciences at the University of  Bologna in 1981. She worked at CNR-ISMAR of Ancona from 1981 to 1989 as contracted scientist, from 1989 to 2005 as permanent scientist, and from 2006 as Senior scientist. Since 1996 she is the chief of the Marine Environment Management Unit and since 2006 is also responsible of the Sub-order TA-P04-007-002 “Human and environmental impact on the marine ecosystem” inside the order CNR-ISMAR TA.P04.007 “Ecosystemic approach for a responsible use of the living resources in eutrophic marine environments (Adriatic Sea).

Fishery biologist with more than 20-ys of experience. Research activity mainly related to fishery management, open-sea mariculture and evaluation of the impacts of human activities on the marine environment and its resources.

Scientific Responsible and/or Coordinator of several research projects funded by EU (DG 14) and Italian Government  and private companies.

She attended as expert scientist some STECF- or EU-Working Groups and many other international and national committees on fisheries and aquaculture.

She collaborates as reviewer for several peer-review journal on fisheries, benthic communities and fish assemblages associated with artificial structures (artificial reefs and off-shore extractive platforms and fish ecology.

Author/co-author of more than 70 publications on scientific journals and books.

He is preparing a degree thesis in Biological Sciences at the Marine Environment Management Unit of CNR-ISMAR about the stock assessment of Solea solea in the Adriatic Sea. From 2005 he is envolved in several research projects on small scale artisanal fisheries and rapido trawl fishery.

She has a contract with the CNR-ISMAR of Ancona and is involved in studies on environmental impact (gas platforms and pipe lines, discharge areas, artificial reefs) working on benthic communities.

He held a degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Trieste, Italy,  in 1997. He works at CNR-ISMAR of Ancona from 1997 as contracted scientist. Since 1992 he collaborates with ISMAR being involved in several aspects of biology and ecology of artificial structures (artificial reefs and gas platforms), small scale fisheries and set gears selectivity. He participated to field activity both scuba diving and aboard fishing and research vessels. Since 1998 he is member of the Italian Society of Marine Biology and since 2005 he is member of the Italian Biometric Society.

She graduated with first class honours in Biological Science at the Universitá Politecnica delle Marche, Italy , in 1999. From 2000 to 2002 she had a Fellowship in Underwater Acoustics at the Department of Electronics of CNR-ISMAR of Ancona, being involved in different projects with regard to marine mammals’ acoustics and behavior, small pelagic fish biomass assessment using echosounder, and distribution of Antarctic Krill in the Ross Sea. Since 2002 she collaborates as research assistant with the Department of Marine Environment Management of ISMAR. She is responsible for high-resolution multibeam studies of scour and burial of artificial reefs and pipelines, benthic and fish habitats, dredging and discharge areas, MPAs, port facilities and marine structures. She is also involved in studies on the assessment of benthic communities, managing the statistical analysis of the different datasets. Since 2006 she also attends a Ph.D. in Marine Science at the University of South Florida , St. Petersburg, FL.

He held a degree in Biological Sciences in 2001 at the Università Politecnica delle Marche , Italy , preparing a degree thesis about Sepia officinalis at the CNR-ISMAR of Ancona from 1999 to 2001. Further his degree he was offered a job as project scientist in several research programs about artificial reef and the impact of off-shore platform. During the years of employment at CNR-ISMAR he has gained experience in benthic ecology, fish assemblages of artificial structures, fisheries ecology and impacts of fishing activities, stock assessment, otholith analysis, population dynamic. During the same years he attended courses of uni- and multivariate statistics and participated to field activity both scuba diving and aboard fishing and research vessels. At the present, he is a doctoral student in Marine Biology and Ecology at the Università Politecnica delle Marche .

She held a degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Pisa, Italy, in 1993. She worked at CNR-ISMAR of Ancona from 1993 to 1999 as grant student, from 1999 to 2001 as time contract scientist and from 2001 as permanent scientist. Since 1993 she participated to field activities and laboratory work within research programs concerning coastal area management. Currently she is responsible for the studies on macrozoobenthic communities regarding environmental impact (gas platforms and pipe lines, discharge areas, artificial reefs), characterization of MPAs and open-sea mariculture. She has more than 10-ys experience in benthic community and gut contents analysis. Finally, she is author/coauthor of about 30 scientific publications and more then 70 technical reports.
